Dial-Up provides internet access when higher speed internet is unavailable or too costly.

Who Can Use This?

Anyone can subscribe to UBC Dial-Up. There currently are dial-up packages available for different members of the UBC community (students, faculty and staff, alumni, etc.)

Technical Requirements

Dial-Up requires access to a telephone line and a modem (note: modems do not come standard on newer computers).

Pricing

UBC Students:
Students get 20 hours of free dial-up access each month, as part of a free NetInfo account. Visit the NetInfo page for more information and the pricing of additional options.

All other dial-up users:
All other people interested dial-up can sign up for an an Interchange account. Go to the Interchange page to view prices.

Free Interchange Dial-Up packages are available for faculty, staff, and Emeriti professors.
