The purpose of the project is to develop a model to facilitate recruitment, selection and career development by providing role clarity and performance measurements linked to organizational performance and strategic direction.
The development of an IT Career Framework for participating M&P, IT Project members supports the process of developing a UBC wide strategy that is aimed at developing a sustainable, diverse and flexible workforce. The objective of the project is to build an IT Career Framework where employees can grow professionally and build a rewarding and fulfilling career at UBC. The focus is on career progression through competency acquisition. A specific objective of this project is to develop a career framework for IT Professionals which evolves the organization beyond transactional service delivery and into end-user community engagement in developing technology solutions.
