To manually install a printer driver, please follow the instructions below:
I. Add v-itsv-print02.ead.ubc.ca to your Windows XP/Vista/7 Trusted Zone
- Open your Internet Settings window: Start menu > Control Panel > Internet Settings
- Open the Security tab, click on Local intranet, and click on Sites
- Make sure that Automatically detect intranet network is selected, and click on Advanced
- Where it says "Add this website to the zone:" enter v-itsv-print02.ead.ubc.ca, click on Add to add the printer server to the trusted zone, and click on Close
- Close all the Internet Settings windows (by clicking on the OK button)
Alternatively, you may download and run this file which will perform the above steps automatically.
II. Install the printer driver
- Select a building and floor from the list below
- Find the printer you want to install the driver for, and click on the icon (or popup image)
- You will be taken to the print server, and asked to confirm the driver installation
- The driver will download and install automatically
You may begin printing immediately when as soon as the printer driver is finished installing.
