Hybrid Cloud FAQs

UBC has pre-approved three public cloud vendors – AWS, Azure and Google.

Reserved instances and savings plans are cost savings mechanisms to reduce costs as opposed to "on demand" prices.  Please contact us for further details and we will assist you to determine the best option.

Backups and data retention are the responsibility of the client and incur additional cost.  Please review the documentation for each cloud vendor for details:

Application and operating system licensing is not part of the hybrid cloud service offering and needs to be handled appropriately. Each public cloud vendor may have different requirements and offers different options.

Open a Service Now ticket through the Self-Service portal and provide details regarding the dispute.  Please note that the monthly bill will need to be paid while the dispute is being worked through with the vendor.  Should a refund be issued, it will be applied to the worktag provided during onboarding.
