UBC Cable provides residences with 59 channels of analog television.
Who Can Use This?
Cable TV is available for people who live in residence at UBC. It is also available in many administrative buildings.
The following residences have cable service:
- Acadia Park
- University Apartments
- Fairview Crescent
- Green College
- Place Vanier
- Ritsumeikan-UBC
- St. Johns
- Thunderbird
- Totem Park
- Vancouver School of Theology (VST)
- Walter Gage
- Marine Towers Complex
Technical Requirements
Other than a TV and a cable cord, nothing else is required!
Pricing
Cable service for residents is included in the rent. Academic departments must pay a one time connection fee and a monthly subscription fee per outlet.
There is an installation fee if you want to get new cables installed (usually if there is no cable outlet at a desired location). For more information on cable installation fees:
- Students: Contact the front desk of your residence building.
