Description

Features

  • Many people can share a mailing list – there is no need for each person to manually maintain their own distribution list.
  • List membership can be managed automatically. An open list allows anyone to subscribe to, or unsubscribe from, the list (whereas with a closed list, the list owner must approve the subscription).
  • Only those who subscribe to a mailing list can read and participate in the discussions.
  • Mailing lists can be moderated (messages must be approved by the list moderator) or unmoderated (emails sent to the mailing list are immediately sent out).
  • A list can be configured so only subscribers can send messages to the list (this avoids spamming).
  • Mailing lists have digest features, which allow subscribers to receive one message containing a full day or weeks worth of activity on the mailing list.
  • Archiving features allow you to archive a copy of messages sent to the list. The archive can be searched by list members.
