UBC offers a secure wireless network that can be accessed by the Apple iPad. For best results, it is recommended to only use these devices on the secure network ('ubcsecure') and not on the non-secure network ('ubc'). Please follow the procedure listed below to enable WPA2 for your device.
Please Note UBC IT does not provide support for iPhone and iPod touch setup/installation. This document is provided as general reference only.
- From the Home screen, tap Settings.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Tap 'ubcsecure'. When prompted, enter your CWL username and password
then tap Join.
- When prompted with a certificate, tap Accept.
- You will now be returned to the Wi-Fi Networks screen, and after a few moments
a checkmark will appear beside 'ubcsecure'.
- You are now connected to the WPA2-enabled UBC Wireless network on your iPad.
