UBC e-Payments

UBC e-Payment comprises the following components, all of which comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS):

e-Payment - Virtual Terminal

Allows authorized merchants to process credit card payments and refunds from their computers, via a web-based "virtual terminal." This option is particularly suited to merchants who do not have a website, have low volumes and/or those whose transactions are predominantly conducted through fax and mail.

e-Payment - Web Service

Provides participating UBC departments with secure, real-time authorization and processing of credit card and Interac Online® payments. This is suitable for merchants who have their own website/shopping cart and require electronic/online payment processing. Participating UBC departments include Food Services, Parking, and Faculty of Medicine

e-Payment - Student Financial Account

Allows participating UBC departments and merchants to display student account information on a centralized secure web page. Students access their accounts by logging into the Student Service Centre , and then clicking on My Financial Account. From here, students are able to select items for payment and make payments online. Merchants may choose from any of the following payment options: EFT (electronic funds transfer), Interac Online®, and credit card. Current merchants include Tuition, Housing, Library, and Undergrad Admissions.

e-Payment - Administration Module

Allows authorized ePayment Web Service merchants to view their account payment logs and reports, process refunds, and make payments (see Virtual Terminal below). Access to the Account Administration module is via Campus Wide Login (CWL) ID.
