Overview
The Advanced Research Computing (ARC) team, part of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation portfolio, supports the high-performance computing and data management needs of researchers at UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan. ARC’s experienced, dedicated team provides consultation, expertise and access to digital research infrastructure for research in any discipline.
Features & Benefits
High Performance Computing & Storage
Provides support to access national computation and storage services from the Digital Research Alliance of Canada as well as on-premise or commercial cloud infrastructure to supplement national resources
Research Software
Supports REDCap and Globus for common research data workflows, and can provide consultation on third-party software for research data collection
Digital Security and Privacy for research
Offers tools and advice on cybersecurity and privacy practices for research projects to enhance compliance with institutional, government and funder requirements when preparing grant proposals and throughout the research lifecycle.
