Database Administration provides expertise and support in the following three areas:
- Oracle Enterprise Database
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Oracle MySQL
Our services are available to Faculty, Staff and UBC Organization units.
A prerequisite for obtaining our services is that you are subscribing to the UBC IT's Virtual Systems Support service.
Requirements
- Services offered to UBC organization, faculty and staff
- Must have a virtual server
- Must be one of the three following Database Support options:
- Oracle Enterprise Database - UBC has a campus license for three Oracle products (Oracle Software Licensing)
- Microsoft SQL Server - must be purchased on an individual basis (UBC Campus Agreement)
- MySQL Enterprise
- Must have a designated Technical Representative (e.g. System Administrator)
- Support only for Oracle Enterprise Database 11g or greater; Microsoft SQL 2008 or greater; MySQL 5.5
