The IT Strategy unit:
- Ensures UBC has IT strategies that anticipate and address broad campus needs
- Builds relationships with key stakeholders in faculties and administrative units
- Provides leadership and support to maintain high standards of IT security at UBC
To meet these goals, IT Strategy is active in three core areas: strategy, partnering and IT security.
Strategy- IT strategic planning
- Developing business cases and project charters
- Recommending priorities within the IT project portfolio
- Promoting R&D, and monitoring trends, best practices and industry intelligence
- Proposing policies and standards
- Maintaining an IT architecture framework
Partnering
Working with partner units to:
- Facilitate communication
- Resolve issues
- Help shape IT strategy
