Communication, Collaboration and Information Sharing (CCIS)

The Communication, Collaboration and Information Sharing (CCIS) Project will create:

• business requirements encompassing the communication, collaboration and information sharing needs of UBC IT staff and its stakeholders
• an application/tool selection process by which all potential tools will be evaluated based on the vendor and application’s ability to meet stated business requirements 

The outcome of the business requirements and application/tool selection process will be a set of recommendations which will include total cost of ownership for all applications and tools proposed; recommendations for governance and ownership for communication and content; any policy or practice changes; and a technology roadmap for collaboration tools.

The recommendations may result in the creation of several implementation projects or initiatives based on budget, availability of resources and benefit to the organization.
