Overview
In September 2012, UBC IT launched a University-wide mobile initiative to make information on UBC websites more accessible and easier to read on all smartphones and tablets.
Purpose
The Mobile Enablement Initiative seeks to improve the mobile experience at UBC and to expand access to mobile-friendly services and content.
Goals
- Provide a dedicated and centralized mobile platform
- Maintain a sustainable and innovative mobile presence
- Support a central mobile website (m.ubc.ca), native application (available at the App store), responsive design, and mobile improvement practices
