| UBC Voicemail Upgrade | UBC IT has initiated a project to replace the University’s Octel voicemail system with Exchange 2010 Unified Messaging (UM). | myUBC Decommissioning Project | On February 28, 2013, UBC IT will be decommissioning the my.ubc.ca web portal due to an aging infrastructure and lack of vendor support for a mobile version. | New University Data Centre (UDC) | Completed in November 2012, the new Pharmaceutical Sciences Building contains the new University Data Centre (UDC). The UDC addresses the university-wide need of suitable space for housing computing infrastructure. | Fri, 11/30/2012 |
| Student Email | The <strong>Netinfo/Interchange Email</strong> service is now <strong>end-of-life</strong>. The new mailboxes are be hosted on a new reliable and scalable infrastructure. | Titan/Atlas | Titan is an initiative to implement a new Campus-Wide Budgeting tool. The project will develop a new system based on the new budget model for UBC and should be ready to use in time for FY11-12. | Virtual Desktop | The Virtual Desktop technology will be based on VMWares View product, which was chosen in order to leverage UBC's significant investment in VMWare techologies, rather than developing a new technology base.
